Meet The Perimenopause Method Team
I’m Claudia Petrilli, Functional Health Coach, Integrative Nutrition Coach, host of Perimenopause Simplified podcast, and creator of The Perimenopause Method.
I’ve experienced firsthand the frustration of being dismissed by doctors while struggling with debilitating periods, digestive issues, thyroid nodules, a pituitary tumor, and perimenopause symptoms in my mid-30s. Advocating for my health and pursuing advanced education transformed my life and inspired my mission.
For over a decade, I’ve empowered women to advocate for themselves, understand their hormones, and achieve vibrant health. My training includes certifications and extensive training in integrative nutrition, functional health, hormone health, advanced lab testing (i.e. hair tissue mineral analysis, hormone testing, gut testing, blood chemistry), and perimenopause/hormone replacement therapy (HRT) mentorship.
I’m Tonya Romano, a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner with specialized training in gut health, hormones, blood chemistry, and functional testing. I have a deep understanding of how nutrition and lifestyle impact the body, especially during perimenopause and menopause.
As a menopausal woman, I’m passionate about helping women 40+ optimize their health during this pivotal transition. My commitment to ongoing education ensures I stay current on the latest research in women’s health.
My credentials include a B.S. in Biology & Environmental Science, Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) certification, Restorative Wellness Practitioner Levels 1-3 (RWP), Functional Blood Chemistry Specialist (FBCS), Certified Dietary Supplement Specialist (CDSP), and Instant HTMA Professional. I’ve completed advanced training in Midlife Hormone Mastery, and Perimenopause/HRT mentorship.
I was dealing with heavy periods, migraines, fatigue, weight gain, hormonal acne, hair loss, anxiety and depression. I wasn’t getting enough sleep and had to take naps to get through the day. I was bloated and had acid reflux.
Since joining, I’m feeling so much better! I’m more energetic – no naps anymore, I’m able to power through the day, have energy to cook dinner, and am sleeping like a baby.

I was diagnosed with Celiac and struggled with GI issues for years. I didn’t know what I could eat that wouldn’t make me sick or experience pain. I have anxiety the weeks before and during my period. Do you offer additional testing? Yes! Along with HTMA and blood work review, you can add a gut microbiome test if you want to dig deeper. However, most women see major improvements with their initial plan. We prioritize results, while keeping things simple and cost-effective.
What payment methods do you accept? Do you take insurance?
We accept all major credit/debit cards through Stripe. While health coaching isn’t typically covered by insurance, some FSA/HSA cards may work. We can provide a receipt if needed, and FSA/HSA funds can often be used for supplements purchased through Fullscript.
What can I expect from the community? A supportive, judgment-free space with women on the same journey. Get unlimited support from me and my team, plus Accountability Mondays, Healthy Habits Thursdays, and Check-In Fridays, with resources to keep you on track. No social media required – we prioritize your privacy and minimize distractions. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with like-minded women, making friends along the way!
Is private support available? Yes! If you’d like private coaching, choose our Premium program tier. You’ll get 3 private coaching sessions with Claudia to dig deeper, as well as private messaging with our team in our client portal.
Are there any mandatory group calls? Nope! You have enough on your plate. Occasionally we host topic-specific classes, which are recorded for your convenience.
Is there ongoing support after the program? Yes! After completing the 4-month program, you’ll be enrolled in TPM VIP Monthly Membership, which includes a private 20-minute check-in every month, continued access to the community & client portal, re-testing options, supplements at VIP discounts, and fun community events (i.e. The 28-Day Reset).
Can you help with HRT?
While we don’t prescribe HRT, we provide education, resources, and guidance to help you navigate the process. You’ll get access to our robust HRT Providers Directory (organized by state) to simplify finding a knowledgeable prescriber. If you start HRT, we support you in fine-tuning your regimen alongside your provider, so you can advocate for the best results. HRT is not cut and dried — it often takes several months of troubleshooting to feel your best.
Do I have to follow a specific diet?
No strict diets here! We focus on balanced, hormone-friendly foods and only recommend avoiding a few problematic ones. Based on your needs, we may suggest specific guidelines (like protein intake or low-histamine options). Plus, you’ll get access to 200+ delicious recipes!
Will I need to take a lot of supplements?
Most of us are nutrient-deficient, and food alone isn’t always enough. We create a customized supplement plan based on your intake and test results, filling in the gaps to correct imbalances and help you feel your best.
What if I can’t get through all of the content? No worries! You’ll have access anytime through our secure client app. After enrolling, you’ll create an account to review materials at your own pace. Want continued access after the program? You’ll roll into TPM VIP Membership at an affordable rate!
Is this suitable for vegans? Based on research and clinical experience, I believe we thrive with animal-based foods in our diet. If you’re open to including eggs, fish, quality protein powders, collagen, etc. (unless allergic or sensitive), this program could work for you. Please submit an application, so we can determine if it’s a good fit!
Can I do this if I’m on hormonal birth control? Yes! It’s important to make the recommended food and lifestyle changes, especially if you’ve been on the pill or used hormonal contraceptives. Supporting nutritional deficiencies and optimizing gut health is key for optimizing hormones.
Can I do this if I’m pregnant or postpartum? No, this program is not for you if you are pregnant or newly postpartum.
I’m so busy! Will I have time for this?
Absolutely! The program is designed for busy women, with clear email guidance, 6 easy-to-follow modules (short videos, audio, and PDFs – we know you’re pressed for time!), and a supportive community that you can access on your schedule. Most clients see amazing results by taking action, implementing small, consistent changes, and staying engaged in our community.
